With this next generation of gaming we are seeing more and more digital content. It is so easy to hit the PSN Store, purchase a digital game and then down load it without ever leaving your house or actually going outside to get some sun while using your Playstation app to install the digital content remotely. While this is great, I have found my stock PS4’s hard drive was filling up fast. So, I started my quest to find a bigger hard drive that would fit into my PS4 and not be too expensive. What I found might surprise you, I actually found a external backup drive with a 2.5 inch hard drive installed. Same size in a PS4 or a Laptop computer. Sure there were standalone drives available with 2TB of storage space, but as of the time I made this video there was a 30$ difference in price, and I really wanted to keep my 30 dollars.Removing the hard drive from the external enclosure as well as the removal of the 500GB stock hard drive from the playstation 4 was super easy. Installing the new hard drive was easy, but the software was a bit tricky. The location of the software took a bit of searching, but I found it, and I show you where to get the right file. Following this video should make this a snap for you. I have included links to the correct software download. Just remember to go all the way down to the bottom of the page and use the “New Install” directions. Also, I will include what drive I used and other drives I recommend for your PS4.
